“Mine is the Month of Roses; yes, and mine
The Month of Marriages! All pleasant sights
And scents, the fragrance of the blossoming vine,
The foliage of the valleys and the heights.
Mine are the longest days, the loveliest nights;
The mower’s scythe makes music to my ear;
I am the mother of all dear delights;
I am the fairest daughter of the year.”
– Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
June is here and the enchantment of summer is steadily expanding into all aspects of our world in the Northern Hemisphere. The warmth, the light, the ability to gather again with family, the possibility of making summer plans again, is poignant as we reflect on the intensity of the past year.
Goddess has called us to fierce compassion during this pandemic, in the fight for racial justice and equity, and that still continues. How can we ground, center, and expand our hearts to our Beloveds, our community, and the world? What do we need to heal our hearts and spirits? How may we be of service and support to those in our community who are continually marginalized and harmed? Where can we invite more joy, more laughter, more intentional action? However life is unfolding in your world, may it be healing, hopeful, and happy!
The early days of June are the longest of the year and will culminate in the Summer Solstice which is the longest day and shortest night of the year. The Summer Solstice is June 20 in the Northern Hemisphere this year. We are in the midst of an early Summer eclipse season. The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse was on May 26 and the New Moon Solar Eclipse is on June 10. Stay tuned to MotherHouse of the Goddess for astrology updates.
As we increase to the Solstice, Goddess is ALL LIGHT and FIRE. The summer fruits and flowers are in bloom and Goddess invites us into Her creation-phase, to participate with laughter, love, and celebration. She is stoking the fires to bring imagination into form; evoking growth and light for the seeds of our deepest desires. Luminous, effulgent, and in Her power, Goddess is genesis and reminds us that we too are Creatrix in Her image. The theme is Manifestation.
Allow the Goddesses of Summer to bring radiance to all of you. How are you filling these magical days of warmth with laughter and wellness? What is required for you to balance home, family, work, and sanity? How may Goddess and your practices support you?
