Happy Earth Day (as of this writing on April 23). After the fiery, combustive Aries energy of the past few weeks, we welcome in the divine feminine energy of the water and earth planets. The Mother Goddess energy is alive and well with the Earth stellium in Taurus (Sun, Uranus, Venus, and Mercury). This marks the beginning of the fertile, growing season of the year( in the Northern hemisphere) when ancient cultures celebrated fertility and new life. Also, this is the Wesak Full Moon when we celebrate the life and illumination of the Buddha. Traditionally, this is the time when the Ascended Masters bestow their limitless blessings to Earth allowing for the transformation and enlightenment of human consciousness. What a great time to open our hearts and minds to Love!

FULL MOON IN SCORPIO: APRIL 26, 2021
This month, the Full Moon in Scorpio (the fixed water sign ruled by both Mars and Pluto) is opposite the Sun in Taurus (fixed earth sign ruled by Venus). The Scorpio Moon is intuitive and subtle; emotions are deep and intense; secrets can be revealed. The earth and water elements are a very fertile combination allowing for things to grow on the physical plane. Taurus deals with the physical world, the five senses, and the desire realm. Scorpio rules the hidden mysterious world of the subconscious, magic, and alchemy. Tremendous transformation is possible now if we have the courage to go deep. Since Scorpio rules the emotional body and Taurus rules the physical body, these two fixed signs can signify the need to break down “stuck” or obsessive psychological patterns.
Mars, the co-ruler of Scorpio, has just entered the water sign of Cancer indicating that healing dysfunctional family patterning and nurturing our Inner Child is possible now. This Full Moon is a time for meditation and inner reflection; forgiveness and release. This is the time when great internal alchemy can take place; we can transform our psychological lead into gold! As mentioned earlier, the Wesak Full Moon is the time when immeasurable blessings and grace flow from the Heavens to those who open their hearts and minds to love.
Every Full Moon illuminates the positive qualities of the sign, as well as its shadow expressions. The Taurus/ Scorpio combination is Earth and Water. These are the fixed signs of fertility and sensuality, but they can also become prone to emotional insecurity and physical excess. It is extremely important during this time to remain neutral and to walk the Middle Path wherever this combination is found in your chart. In Taurus/ Scorpio we are dealing with TRUST issues and the basic building blocks of the human condition: love and security. The seven deadly sins all revolve around Taurus/Scorpio axis. Scorpio rules the hidden side of life…what is behind the veil, taboo, secret and occult. Scorpio is known as the sexy sign, but that translates as inner magnetism, which can attract or repel at will. We all have an inner Magician, Priestess, Shaman, Psychic Detective, Dark Goddess, and Psychologist indicated by the house where the sign of Scorpio falls in the birth chart. With awareness, these archetypes can be used constructively for our own healing and transformation. Scorpio is the only sign of the zodiac which has three levels: the Scorpion, the Eagle, and the Phoenix, denoting its inherent potential for total transformation. Like a snake shedding its old skin, Scorpio has the capacity to die to the old self/ego and be reborn.
The positive side of Scorpio teaches compassion and forgiveness for ourselves and others; the right use of power, loyalty, and self-discipline. We learn that true intimacy is not based on control or possessiveness, but on the desire for oneness, compassion, and truth. The shadow side of Scorpio is the abuse of power, secrecy, judgment, emotional repression, obsession, control, revenge, and manipulation. Recognizing and owning your Shadow, rather than projecting it onto others, becomes a necessity if you have Scorpio planets prominent in your chart, especially the Moon (since the Moon rules the subconscious). Working with dreams, shamanic counseling, past life regressions, and other forms of psychotherapy are excellent ways of bringing the Shadow into awareness. Scorpio is the water sign also associated with our second chakra: manifestation and sexuality. The parts of the body ruled by Scorpio are the sex organs, and the reproductive and elimination systems. Psychological and emotional blockages commonly show up as physical problems in these areas of the body. Yoga, martial arts, bodywork, and massage, especially lymphatic massage, can be extremely helpful in moving blocked energy. Psychotherapy and astrological counseling, rebirthing techniques, and past life regression work, help us move through the emotional fears that keep us stuck. During this Wesak Full Moon, take some time out for yourself to reconnect with your spiritual source, whatever that might be. Re-establish your connection with nature…walk…plant a garden…work with your crystals.
Since Scorpio rules the deep waters of the subconscious, this full moon is a great time to indulge in some quiet reflection and meditation. Watch your dreams for messages; begin a spiritual journal. Just spending a few minutes “moon-gazing” is a wonderful way to recharge your psychic batteries. But above all, honor all precious life and sentient beings. The way to re-establish health and balance on this planet is to realize the interconnectedness of all living things. It is never too late!
Fixed T-Square with Moon in Scorpio Opposite Sun/ Uranus/Venus/ Mercury in Taurus and Square Saturn in Aquarius: This is another big bang astrological aspect that will be felt on many levels. The Scorpio Moon wants to go deep and go intense. There is an electrical charge with any Sun/Uranus contact. New ideas and big revelations, and all vie for Saturn’s watchful attention now. Although Saturn in Aquarius allows for boundaries to be stretched and new inventions to be implemented, his message is “Divine timing is everything”! Both Scorpio and Taurus deal with money, security, and material reality. On a collective level, big changes are afoot in the financial world. On a personal level, we may have to be a bit more patient before the flowers in our garden are in full bloom, but the seedlings are alive and well. The Moon in Scorpio opposing Sun/Uranus in Taurus may cause some disruption and upsets, such as earthquakes, volcanoes, etc., as a deep earth cleansing goes on. Personally, this is a good time for clearing your body of toxins that have built up over time. The planetary line up with four planets in Taurus says ”Follow your heart”; while Saturn says “Take Responsibility as you do.”
Moon in Scorpio Trine Mars in Cancer: “Water, water, everywhere”….This positive trine in water signs opens the door for healing on an emotional level. We can feel more connected and more supported emotionally at this time. For some, this comes only after deep healing work has been done, but both these water signs desire emotional connections. If you find yourself dreaming of romantic beaches and exotic island holidays this is the water element in its true form. You may not be able to escape to that desert isle yet, but take advantage of the water element wherever you can import it into your life now.
Pluto in Capricorn Stationary /Retrograde at 26- 27 Degrees Capricorn: Pluto begins the procession of the outer planets moving into retrograde over the second half of 2021. This means that the deep core, transformative issues that surfaced in 2020 will come up for a final review until Pluto goes direct once again in mid-October. Globally and personally, we have another learning curve before graduating from Capricorn’s lessons: power, money, politics, authority, etc. Think back to the events at the beginning of 2020 for where this review will take place.
In ancient Egypt Isis (Auset) was revered as the Great Mother Goddess, the Compassionate One, who healed all ills through her unconditional love and magical skills. Her home is the Star Sirius, the most brilliant star in the sky. Some say that the original face of the great Sphinx was carved in the image of Isis during the Age of Virgo. Isis was the goddess who taught her people the right use of magic, the healing arts, and the importance of words of power. She was considered as Mother, Protectress, and Magician to all. Healing chants, drumming, and sacred dance were all part of the rituals that were used in the healing temples of Isis to ensure the health of mind, body, and spirit. Let us call on her magic during this important Full Moon time and open our hearts to receive her compassion and love.
FULL MOON MEDITATION WITH THE GODDESS ISIS:
Take a few moments to gaze at the light of the Full Moon. (If you cannot view the moon, imagine it in your mind’s eye.) Allow the light to penetrate your third eye. Then, light a white candle, get into a comfortable position, and take a few deep breaths allowing all that is heavy or toxic, such as worries, anxiety, and troubling thoughts, to leave your body. If you have a favorite essential oil, anoint your third eye and heart chakras at this time. (You may prefer to do this meditation after a relaxing bath). If you work with a special crystal, the full moon is a good time to reactivate and recharge it. Visualize a blue lotus extending its stem from your crown to the blue/white star group, Sirius, the “home” of Isis. As you connect this “star cord”, the Goddess Isis appears before you wearing a white linen gown and a blue cloak trimmed with gold. Her forehead is encircled with a band of gold, and a 5-pointed star of lapis lazuli sits over her third eye. Her gaze is deep but loving. She communicates with you telepathically. She asks that you meditate on all that you are thankful for in your life right now. It can be as brief or as detailed as you like. She then asks that you think about all that you wish to release or let go of in your life over the next 2 weeks. All that is causing you pain, grief, worry, or regret. (You can also write this down in your journal or diary). Then, she asks that you project yourself into the future and write down how you see yourself in the next 6 months. What would you like to manifest? You can meditate on this for a few minutes. Then, Isis leads you into her temple, a vast crystalline hall bathed in Light. The full moon is beaming down through the top of the temple which is open to the night sky. The light of the Star Sirius also shines into her temple entering your Crown chakra. Feel the diamond white light of Sirius and the soft white moonlight mix together like an elixir of light that bathes your crown chakra in its delicious essence. Allow this crystalline liquid to bathe your mid-brain and pass through your entire body. Immerse yourself in this diamond liquidity of light. Breathe it in. Allow yourself to float in this womb of Light for as long as you wish. Commune with Isis. Dream with her…..Her wings of protection surround you.
