“Instead of planting our solitude with our own dream blossoms, we choke the space with continuous music, chatter, and companionship to which we do not even listen. It is simply there to fill the vacuum. When the noise stops there is not inner music to take its place.” –Anne Morrow Lindbergh, Gift from the Sea
What “dream blossoms” are you planting in your life? What inner music are you listening to? Before I began writing on a regular basis, I was obsessed with a Wayne Dyer quote about not dying with your music still in you. When I began writing my first blog, I felt like the music that had been dying within me was finally able to get out…it was an almost physical sensation of relief and release. For the Spring Equinox issue of the Oracle, I drew two cards. Our card from Womanrunes is The Sun, rune of healing. I have been receiving this card a lot lately personally and it is also one of my runes of the year. This rune is a rune of play and rejuvenation. In what ways might you need healing and rejuvenation? Where do you wish to play? There are many types of healing…needed, available, possible.
Our card from the Goddess Guidance Oracle deck is Aeracura, a Celtic goddess of the Earth, flowers, and fairies. How might you call upon the medicine of flowers this month? (Essences, planting, aromatherapy, observations…) She reminds us that we are like buds curled up, waiting to blossom. Don’t try to rush yourself to bloom, but trust your own path. “Have patience with yourself and the process and don’t give up.” How are you taking time to nourish and nurture your body lately? Your sense of beauty? Are you able to be patient with yourself, with what you are planting, tending, and watching bloom?
You might wish to read this poem aloud or to yourself (replacing “you” with “I”):
“You are a ritual.
Your breath is the air of knowing.
the fire of intention.
Your blood the ebb and flow
of deep waters emotion.
You are a ritual.
Never forget you are magic
made flesh, blood and whole
And sacred spells are written in your soul.”
–C. Ara Campbell, The Goddess Circle
Affirmation for the month: I plant my dream blossoms and listen to my inner music.
May you heal, may you bloom, and may you listen deeply.
Spring Welcome Poem by Molly
Let us greet this morning with smiling faces
Hearts full of glee
Birdsong in one hand
Roses in the other
Let us dance to River’s music
And Earth’s heartbeat
Under quickening leaves
We are full with the promise of spring.
I also wanted to note that our free Goddess Studies and Ritual class is once more open for registration! Enjoy!
