“She read books as one would breathe air, to fill up and live.” – Annie Dillard
Reading is and always has been my oxygen, my sanctuary. When I was young, the common refrain was, “she always has her nose in a book”. Books sustain me, stir me, and soothe me, and I have always delighted in the fact that the MotherHouse of the Goddess community was well-populated with bibliophiles like me!
Not only do I love to read books, but I love to talk about books, to share quotes, exchange ideas, and to see what discussion grows from the inspirations gleaned in the pages. To that end …
WELCOME TO THE LITERARY GODDESS CIRCLE – our free book discussion group that is restarting November 2020!
We have picked some amazing books by female authors; poetry, non-fiction, esoteric fiction, hands-on practices; all of them deeply moving and inspirational. Our goal is to complete a book within a two month period. We will gather on our Mystery School of the Goddess portal and on Zoom every few weeks to discuss and share. All calls will be archived for those who cannot join live.
Within our online space, we will also share book lists and some prompts to facilitate our discussions.AND we have a Facebook Group to keep in touch and create community!
The books are not included in the group. Each member will purchase their own copy.
The Literary Goddess Circle is facilitated by Kimberly Moore. We are counting on your participation in the discussion to make this a fun and active group!
Will you join us?

OUR NEXT BOOK IS:
“Though it may seem counter-intuitive, pulling back our energy is like drawing the bow to find the aim before releasing an arrow with precision. Yin knows that sometimes we have to withdraw to enter. We are just like the earth, from whom we take so much and give back too little: our energy body has so much to give, but it needs to be harnessed sustainably. It requires pleasure, contentment, and periods of grace. If we are to come into right relationship with the earth, we need to practice at yielding to the rhythms of our own bodies.” ~ Excerpt from BELONGING: Remembering Ourselves Home by Toko-pa Turner
I am absolutely delighted to announce our next book beginning in November 2020 as BELONGING: Remembering Ourselves Home by Toko-pa Turner! I also highly recommend the book in Audible. It is narrated extremely well by Toko-pa Turner and is a treasure to listen to over and over again.
Our first call for Belonging will be 11/22/20 at 2pm eastern. I wanted to give everyone enough time to get the book and read the first bit.
FIRST CALL: We are covering from Chapter One through Chapter Five up to page 67.

“There is a story wanting to come through every life, a story that connects backwards through time to our ancestors, our chthonic place, down to our bones, which are the bones of the earth itself. If we can, through our invitational presence, draw that story into the open for others and for ourselves, there is a chance that we can begin to live in alignment with our deepest contributive nature.”
