Hello Everyone,
Midsummer Greetings! At this time, we are experiencing major solar storms, as great tidal waves of light stream to planet Earth from our home star, the Sun, and this Full Moon in Capricorn brings up the theme of self-nurturance for both our physical and emotional bodies.
Are you feeling unusually fatigued, but anxious, as the new codes of light are being awakened in your cells? Some call these Ascension symptoms, but it is actually your body learning how to wean itself from the third dimension density into the higher frequencies of light. It is necessary to consider what feeds your Light Body, and more important than ever, to stay away from toxic people and situations.
Spend more time in nature. Breathe in fresh air and feel the sun light on your body. Observe cloud formations. Watch beautiful sunsets. Notice the colors and scents of summer flowers. Listen to the birds sing. We are all feeling a bit “done” as we enter yet another season of covid reality, but be gentle with yourself and patient with others.
This Full Moon has some very auspicious astrological aspects, (see Planetary Pictures), so this is the perfect time to recharge your psychic batteries and give yourself a much needed break from everyday stress. Capricorn is the quintessential Earth sign, which rules gemstones, crystals, minerals, healing herbs, flower remedies, and all things that come from nature. Make good use of her gifts. Humans are the caretakers of Mother Earth, and we begin by caring for our own bodies!

FULL MOON IN CAPRICORN JULY 13, 2022:
All Full Moons are about illumination; bringing forth into consciousness what has been nurtured in the unconscious. During this Full Moon, the Sun is in the opposite sign of Cancer. This Full Moon is all about balancing Capricorn leadership with Cancerian compassion; masculine power with feminine sensitivity.
When the Moon falls in the Earth sign of Capricorn, it signifies our connection to Mother Earth, our traditions, our ancestral lineage, and family roots (for better or worse). This polarity signifies the archetypal Mother/Father, male/female axis in astrology. The theme of power vs. compassion takes on archetypal proportions.
During the last New Moon in Cancer leading up to this Full Moon in Capricorn, we may have been dealing with family issues and emotions around home, security, women and children. Food, commodities, finances, and the infrastructure of the law, all fall in the domain of Capricorn. The sign of Capricorn has to do with father figures, authorities and the patriarchal systems. Capricorn is all about boundaries, limits, and structure in our lives. On a collective level, we see battle lines being drawn over legislation vs. women’s rights in this country; as well as, tyranny vs. freedom abroad. Over and over again, we shall see how Pluto (the planet of transformation) in the last degrees of Capricorn dredges up the theme of freedom versus repression.
On a personal level, it is time to ground your energy and get serious about manifesting your ideas and dreams into practical reality. What have you learned since the powerful line up of Capricorn planets in 2020-21? Have you fulfilled your own expectations? If not, it is never too late to revive and nurture them. Capricorn is the sign that most favors “late –bloomers”. Patience is the key that unlocks the Capricorn vault of treasures.
PERSONALLY SPEAKING:
If you have Capricorn Sun, Moon or Ascendant, this is a very important Full Moon for you. You may be in the process of an emotional overhaul. Letting go of the old memories and long held belief systems that no longer serve you will actually help to clarify your goals now. Look for a closure or completion in one major area of life that may have begun to transform in late 2019.
Capricorn grounds us in physicality; it allows us to build a solid foundation for the future. Capricorn is the sign of business first, emotions second. As children young Capricorns are often taught a “no non-sense” approach to life and instructed to ignore their emotional needs.
Capricorn is the sign of Mastery, and Saturn is its ruler. Self-control and self-discipline are two of Capricorn’s most important attributes, but taken to extremes, these can lead to emotional withdrawal and isolation. It can be lonely at the top of the mountain! It is important during this Full Moon to nurture your relationships and feel gratitude for the love in your life. Capricorn is the quintessential Earth sign; mountains, rocky terrain, forests and glades are its primal sources of energy. Even if you feel you are alone, you can still feel a connection to the Earth through nature, plants, and animals; stones and crystals can become your allies and guides.
Gemstones that work particularly well with Capricorn energy are: Garnet, Malachite, Black Tourmaline, Green Tourmaline, and Chrysocolla. Problems with bones (especially knees) teeth and skin may come up with a Full Moon in Capricorn. Epsom salt baths, as well as hot stone massage are an excellent way to ease into the Capricorn energy.
PLANETARY PICTURES:
Full Moon Conjunct Pluto in Capricorn Opposite Sun and Mercury in Cancer: This can be a very emotional full moon when past hurts or traumas that have been bottled up in the subconscious rise to the surface. This is definitely an emotional reality check. Most of us have problematic issues stemming from early childhood, and as stated earlier, Pluto will often dredge up old memories and feelings. Whether we feel lacking in ourselves, or disappointed in our expectations of others, this is a very good time for any kind of psychological therapy or deep body work, such as Rolfing. With this transit, we want to go deep and get to the core of things. This is also a beneficial time to engage in journal writing to gain some personal insights. Carl Jung’s autobiography, “Memories, Dreams, and Reflections” is a good read!
Full Moon and Pluto in Capricorn Sextile Neptune in Pisces: This is a positive aspect which highlights transformation and spiritual growth. When a personal planet (such as Sun, Moon or Mercury) is touched by the outer planets (Pluto, Neptune, Uranus) there is much collective, as well as individual, transformation possible. As mentioned previously, the Capricorn stellium of outer planets in 2020-21 forced individuals to confront some hard truths. Now, there is a cosmic “opening” if you have done your homework and mastered your karmic lessons since late 2019. If you have been working diligently to achieve your personal mission, much like the alchemists of old, you may finally realize it is within your reach.
Sun and Mercury in Cancer Trine Neptune in Pisces: There is a very sentimental, emotional flow to this watery trine. It can also be a very psychic aspect, if you are open to Spirit.T his transit also favors music, art, photography, and anything that brings you out of your everyday reality. Dreams, visions, shamanic work, guided meditations and tapes are all healthy ways to escape the stresses of 3D reality. The ideal manifestation of this transit for me (as a Cancerian) is watching an idyllic sunset on a tropical island; however, most of us can escape by spending an afternoon at the beach immersed in a romance novel, or enjoying a family picnic at the local park. Using tarot cards and/or any other type of spiritual tools (including dreams, scrying, and channeling) can yield profound messages from the subconscious at this time. Use your intuition; be creative and believe in magic!
Sun and Mercury in Cancer Sextile Uranus and North Node in Taurus: This can be a very liberating and positive transit, bringing unexpected but pleasant surprises and opportunities, especially in the areas of material security and finances. A long-standing debt may be paid or removed; or there may money coming in from an unexpected source, especially if it involves real estate. As with all trines and sextile, it is important to remain open to new possibilities and keep a positive outlook. As previously mentioned, the Moon is also in a positive aspect with Neptune so your “dream” or big picture for the future may be closer than you think.
HISTORICALLY SPEAKING:
In ancient Egypt, mid-July signaled the rising of the Star Sirius, the rising of the Nile and the celebration of the Egyptian New Year. The goddess Nut (pronounced Noot), was the sky goddess, the Great cosmic Mother. Creatrix of all matter and Mother of the Gods, she birthed the Milky Way from her womb. In hieroglyphs, her symbol is the sacred war jar, the grail. She was depicted in every temple and every tomb, as all blessings flowed from her. Nut was especially prominent at the Temple of Dendera, where she was associated with Isis, Hathor, the star Sirius, and the life giving waters of the Nile and the Milky Way. She is the Goddess of the New Age, who offers hope for a future filled with Universal Wisdom and Love. Like the Star card in the tarot deck, she is our Galactic Mother, who connects us to the stars, but also gives life to all living beings on Earth. “As Above, So Below.”
FULL MOON MEDITATION WITH GODDESS NUT:
Find a quiet space to meditate, light a white candle. Breathe deeply and feel yourself connecting from the core of the planet to the heart of the Milky Way. As you do this, you feel a blue-white shaft of light beam from the center of the galaxy into your third eye igniting your “inner fire” and inspiration. This is your connection with the Sky Goddess Nut. This blue-white beams turns into a beautiful blue lotus and opens in your heart center. You are one with the Goddess Nut. You are in alignment and flow with Universal Love. This blue-white flame has extinguished any lingering fear in your heart. Now, imagine your body as a chalice or grail holding this new frequency, and ask Goddess Nut to assist you in manifesting your new future. You have left behind your old patterns of self-doubt, self-judgment and guilt. This may be a new vision, or one you have been holding on to for many years or lifetimes until this present moment unfolds. If you are not clear on what your purpose is right now, it is fine. It will come to you now that you have connected with the cosmic Mother Nut. Pay attention to your dreams and meditations for answers. Use the energy of this Full Moon to help you redefine your mission statement for the future; and to aid you in releasing what no longer serves your higher purpose. You are birthing your inner Divine Child. Be patient and be compassionate with yourself and others. This is the dawning of a New Age.
