Last month’s New Moon in Cancer theme was about recognizing and healing emotional security issues. Now, you may be feeling a bit restless and ready for something new. Change is in the air, as this Full Moon at one degree of Aquarius (the most electrifying of the air signs) ignites sparks of illumination into consciousness. Think back to mid -December of 2020 when both Saturn and Jupiter initiated the Great Conjunction at one degree Aquarius, and a new timeline began to unfold. What has gone on in your life since then? What is your heart telling you to do next? The next Full Moon of August 22nd will be at 29 degrees of Aquarius. This second Full Moon reinforces the Aquarian theme of enlightened individuals working together for mutual benefit. What would you like to magnetize as your most positive future? FULL MOON IN AQUARIUS JULY 23-24, 2021
During this Full Moon, we are more receptive to receiving and giving information on a body/mind/spirit level. The sign of Aquarius is ruled by the planet Uranus, called the “Awakener” and the planet that rules astrology, energy medicine, and the intuitive sciences, as well as computer technology and electronics. Both inner space and outer space are the realms of Aquarius.
On a personal level, you may feel a heightening of the electrical frequency in your body now, which can translate as restlessness, or sleeplessness. If that is the case, drink more water, stay hydrated and try a few yoga stretches to release any tension in your spine. Think of your spine as a tuning fork, which responds to vibrations. You want to bring your body into balance. This is a good weekend to spend some at the water, or if that’s not possible, treat yourself to a reiki, energy balancing session, or sound healing. Since Aquarius is a future-oriented sign, an astrology reading may help to put things in perspective.
During this Aquarian Full Moon take the time to meditate; it will breathe new life and energy into your cells. As more solar (and cosmic) light floods the planet, it will be increasingly important to keep our bodies balanced with healthy food and clean air and water. As we move more and more into the Age of Aquarius, humanity will come to understand that healthy bodies and a healthy planet are one and the same goal. In this age of super technology, we understand that our thoughts and ideas can be transmitted globally in a matter of seconds; so, it is important to realize that in the dawning Age of Aquarius, intuitive knowingness will become the norm. Aquarius also brings in the theme of Evolution/Revolution. Freedom is an inherent right, but it also entails personal responsibility. With the Aquarius/Leo polarity, humanity is learning the karmic lessons of balancing heart and intellect; personal power with group mind.
The sign Aquarius signifies the importance of community, collaboration and group consciousness, not a society run by an elite few. The dark side of Aquarius is anarchy and mind control. Choose your leaders wisely but take responsibility for your choices. Your voice counts.

The Full Moon is in the mental air sign of Aquarius, which symbolizes intuition and innovative thinking. Aquarius is the sign of the progressive humanitarian, the bohemian artist, the political reformer, as well as the scientist, tech wizard, and astrologer. If your sun, moon or rising sign is in the sign of Aquarius, you are probably a bit of a closet rebel, and this is your personal Full Moon.
Most Aquarians are usually very cool, calm and detached personalities, which make them very interesting to other people. They can also be great humanitarians working for a cause or philosophy, whether it is in the arts or sciences. Although they are group minded with a diverse array of friends, Aquarians often prefer to be alone. You can usually find them working on their computers, while in the midst of a crowded coffee shop. On a karmic level, the sign Aquarius teaches humanity the lessons of balancing heart with intellect; personal power with group mind.
The sign Aquarius is the Water Bearer of the zodiac, but what is being poured is not liquid, but energy. We receive this “elixir of the gods” as electromagnetic frequency. Our brains get amped up and new neuronal pathways open. The Age of Aquarius will be felt when human compassion matches technological prowess (heart and mind).The Aquarius/Leo polarity humanity is learning the karmic lessons of balancing Heart and Intellect; personal power with group mind. We are entering a point of critical mass balancing lessons going back to Atlantis, when the “revolutionizing” of human consciousness which began in the Age of Leo 13,000 years ago. The human-headed Lion Sphinx of Giza is a major portal, or stargate, that connects us, not only to our Atlantean heritage, but to our possible futures. The Aquarian vessel containing the “water of life” or cosmic consciousness can pour through to humankind. The Great Work of true alchemy is to find the divine seed within us and nurture it with the light, but the transmutation process is not an easy one.
PLANETARY PICTURES:
Moon in Aquarius Conjunct Pluto in Capricorn Retrograde: The Full Moon in close proximity with Pluto brings intensity to the otherwise detached Aquarian Moon. A deeper understanding of our hidden feelings and emotions is necessary before moving on to the next phase. Think back to last December. How far have you come in achieving your New Year’s resolutions in the past seven months? Both collectively and personally, this conjunction will illuminate if, and what, still needs to be processed emotionally before reaching our goals.
This Full Moon in Aquarius (and the one next month) are harbingers for what is to come in the next few years. Humanity is standing on the threshold of mind-blowing breakthroughs in scientific and medical technology, as well as astronomy and archaeology, but technology and science need to address our planet’s problems before “conquering” space. Do we really need to infect other planets with our toxic brand of earthly colonialism? Carl Jung pioneered the concept of “enantiodromia”; which means that when things get to their extreme, they turn to the opposite pole so that balance may be restored. Look at where things seem too out of balance, and then choose the middle path.
Moon in Aquarius Trine Asteroid Vesta in Libra: The Moon in Aquarius represents emotional liberation in all its forms: freedom from slavery, gender bias, and racial bigotry. It is the sign of Women’s Liberation, in particular. The Greek goddess Vesta was the” keeper of the sacred flame”, the protectress of hearth and home. The Statue Liberty is our American Goddess symbol as she holds high her sacred torch of illumination and liberty for all. We can expect to see human rights/ immigration issues move forward with this lunar aspect in place.
Mercury in Cancer Trine Neptune in Pisces: Mercury in Cancer is extremely sensitive and linked to the past. With this watery duo, you may feel more sentimental and more dreamy than usual. It is a great weekend to spend at the beach, listen to music, or do something artsy. Having a psychic reading or aromatherapy massage now may bring up past life memories and stories. Your dreams can be especially vivid now; watch for messages.
Venus in Virgo Opposite Jupiter in Pisces Retrograde: This opposition may bring up boundary issues. You may overdo a good thing due to lack of discretion or just feeling lazy. This can be a challenging time for maintaining your diet and exercise regime. But don’t give up. This aspect does not last very long, as Jupiter will retrograde back into Aquarius in a few days to pick up the pace where you left off.
HISTORICALLY SPEAKING:
In ancient Egypt, the latter part of July signaled the rising of the Star Sirius, the rising of the Nile and the celebration of the Egyptian New Year. The goddess Nut was revered as the Sky goddess, the Great Cosmic Mother. As the Creatrix of all matter and Mother of the Gods, she birthed the Milky Way and our universe from her womb. In hieroglyphs, her symbol is the sacred war jar, the grail. She was depicted in every temple and every tomb, as all blessings flowed from her. She was especially prominent at the Temple of Dendera, where was associated with Isis, Hathor and the star Sirius and the life giving waters of the Nile and the Milky Way. She is the Goddess of the New Age, who offers hope for a future filled with Universal Wisdom and Love. Like the Star in the tarot deck, she is our Galactic Mother, who connects us to the stars, but also gives life to all living beings on Earth. “As Above, So Below.”
NEW MOON MEDITATION WITH GODDESS NUT:
Find a quiet space to meditate, light a white candle. You are in a safe space surrounded by your spiritual guides and angels. If you cannot view the Full Moon physically, imagine it in your mind’s eye. Feel its pure white light opening up a window in your mind and allowing this Light to flow through your entire body awakening your cells to a new frequency of love and light. Breathe deeply and feel yourself connecting deeply from the diamond core of the planet to the heart of the Milky Way. As you do this, you feel a blue-white shaft of light beam from the center of the galaxy and entering into your third eye igniting your inner flame inspiration. This is your connection with the Sky Goddess Nut. This blue-white beams turns into a beautiful blue lotus, which opens within your heart chakra. You are now one with the Goddess Nut. You are in alignment and flow with Universal Love. This blue-white flame has extinguished any lingering fear in your heart. Now, imagine your body as a chalice or grail holding this new frequency, and ask Goddess Nut to assist you in manifesting your new future. You have left behind your old patterns of self-doubt, self-judgment and guilt. This may be a new vision, or one you have been holding on to for many years or lifetimes until this present moment unfolds. If you are not clear on what your purpose is right now, it is fine. It will come to you now that you have connected with the cosmic Mother Nut. Pay attention to your dreams and meditations for answers. Use the energy of this Full Moon to help you redefine your mission statement for the future; and to aid you in releasing what no longer serves your higher purpose. You are birthing your inner Divine Child. Be patient and be compassionate with yourself and others. This is the dawning of a New Age.
