Deep in the belly of dreaming our New Year, we plant our seeds, our sacred intentions. We gather and focus our magick. With whispers and chants we tell our magick what we want it to do … remove our obstacles and invite prosperity, release the cords of an old love and bring us someone new, clear stagnant energy and place us in the flow of blessings.
Choose your intention. Name what you are releasing and name your intention that is replacing the released energy.
Perform your banishing ceremony and create sacred, protected space for your magick. Call upon a Goddess, Guardian, or Spirit Guide to assist in your working, Offer a prayer or invocation and state your intention clearly.
Gather your tools that are in alignment with your intention: a container for your magick (jar, bag, fabric, poppet), fresh and dried herbs, fragrant oils, crystals, talismans that are personal to you, bones, feathers, woods, paper to write on, twine, ribbons, candles. Choose colors that are also reflect your intention. Set all of your items out in your working space (I call this my magickal mise en place!).
Cleanse and bless the vessel of your enchantment with smoke, holy water, anointing oil, directed energy. Tell the container what you require, how it will hold your magick as it activates and how it will release as it expands into the Universe.
Place each item into your container. As you add each item, thank it for its energy that will combine with your purpose. Speak aloud how each item is contributing to the unified intention. Offer gratitude that these special things have allowed you to gather them.
Piece by piece, with words and focus create your magick. If you are inspired, write a spell charm to further charge your working or speak an incantation from the heart as you create.
Once all of the items have been added, sit with your creation. Feel your magick flowing through you and weaving around and into your vessel. Honor the blessings coming to you. Invite Goddess to work however she sees fit.
Complete your working by sealing it with wax or binding it with string or ribbon or both. Again, speak your intention aloud.
Ask Goddess to bless the working and acknowledge that it is now expanding into Universe.
Your container may be buried in the earth, cast into the sacred waters of river or ocean, or kept on an altar. If you keep it on your altar, you may want to place it into a bag or larger container so that it is kept private.
Nurture your intention. Take actions in life that further this intention. Open yourself to all possibilities. If you feel that your working needs to be recharged, begin a new working or boost your current creation. Seek confirmation about how to proceed through divination if the energy seems to be stagnant.
The iterations of intentional workings are endless. Use them for protection, prosperity, peace, abundance, health, fertility, money, love, to placate hungry ghosts, truly anything.
May you be blessed, be blessed, be blessed in all that you do! Wishing you a magickal 2021!
