September is here and so are all of the HolyDays and Goddess Feasts of the month. The Wheel of the Year is giving a turn and we will be perfectly balanced (if just for a moment) on the Autumn Equinox.
New months (new weeks, new days) are quite ritualistic for me. I have my Autumn Goddess Planner open and all my colored pens lined up. I love cracking open a new seasonal planner – all those beautiful pages waiting to be filled! My new Violet Agate palm stone is nearby and has quickly become a meditation favorite. Goddess Music Playlist is rocking. The Goddess Box with its 800+ Goddess cards is open, fumigated, and misted in case I need some divination inspiration.
The Full Moon in Pisces is heralding the first of the month (occurring on 9/2/20 at 1:22am eastern) and calls for some reflection. Looking back even six months ago, our entire worlds have changed. Take your time in reviewing your intentions from the last few turns of the Wheel – New Year, Spring, Summer. Are they still relevant? What resonates as authentic? Give it a Holy Hell Yes! What seems foreign or stagnant? Burn it in the cauldron! And then create gorgeous new intentions that are for right now and welcoming Autumn.
The Full Moon is also the perfect time to choose a new or renewed Goddess. Once you have an idea of intentions, think of the Goddesses that reflect them. Browse the Goddess Calendar and see what Goddess name makes you zing energetically. Are there special dates in your life that match with a HolyDay? My September birthday falls on the Feast Day of Stella Maris and the Feast Day of the Ibeji – both of these celebrations resonate with my Beloved Orisha Goddesses Yemaya and Oshun who also happen to have Feasts early in the month. I celebrate them ALL month!
Use the Goddess Calendar for inspiration, tap into the Goddesses of Autumn and the upcoming HolyDays, do bibliomancy with your favorite Goddess Guide, divine with a Goddess Oracle deck, or choose a Goddess according to your intention or need. How do your sacred connections flow?
Is She river, or ocean, or cool, still lake?
Does She dance in the last of the summer sun or beckon to you from the twilight?
Is She bright orange pumpkins or scarlet pomegranates?
Does She guide you into your descent or offer you a sip of Her cauldron brew?
Hag or Queen? Heaven or Earth? Veiled or Crowned?
Who is She?
Gather your Goddesses, your Guardians, your tools, and create ritual and ceremony that reflects your passion and your purpose. Expand your intuition and invite several Goddesses to your Circle to know them better. What are the correspondences for your chosen Goddess? How does HerStory reflect in your life? Make the whole month a celebration!

“When I am among the trees,
especially the willows and the honey locust,
equally the beech, the oaks and the pines,
they give off such hints of gladness.
I would almost say that they save me, and daily.
I am so distant from the hope of myself,
in which I have goodness, discernment,
and never hurry through the world
but walk slowly, and bow often.
Around me the trees stir in their leaves
and call out, “Stay awhile.”
The light flows from their branches.
And they call again, “It’s simple,” they say,
“and you too have come
into the world to do this, to go easy, to be filled
with light, and to shine.”
~ Mary Oliver, When I Am Among the Trees
