Well, breathe a sigh of relief, as we are finally experiencing a month with no eclipses! However, we will be working on the summer eclipse themes until the end of 2020; and as of this writing (7/31), the Full Moon in the air sign Aquarius is definitely stirring up the wind and water elements with Hurricane Isaias. Last month’s New Moon in Cancer theme was about recognizing and healing emotional security issues. Now, the Full Moon in Aquarius (an intellectual air sign) asks that you wake up and use what you know to create a sustainable future. Breakthroughs in consciousness are possible, but only when minds and hearts are free from fear, hate, and scary stories. Think back to the total solar eclipse in Leo August 2017. What have you learned since then, especially in terms of personal relationships? Where is your heart telling you to go next? Many people also feel a connection to the 8:8 time portal. We are being made aware of the fact that in order to magnetize our highest future potential, the brain and the heart must be connected (Leo and Aquarius). 8:8 is an “infinity” loop. The energy of this Full Moon in Aquarius offers a direct timeline for what we will be creating for ourselves in spring 2021.

FULL MOON IN AQUARIUS AUGUST 3, 2020
During this Full Moon, we are more receptive to receiving and giving information on a body/mind/spirit level. The sign of Aquarius is ruled by the planet Uranus, called the “Awakener” and the planet connected with astrology and energy medicine. Take this full moon time to meditate and breathe new life into your cells.
In this age of technology, we understand that our thoughts and ideas can be transmitted globally in a matter of seconds; so, it is important to realize that in the dawning Age of Aquarius, intuitive knowingness will become the norm. Aquarius also brings in the themes of Evolution and Revolution. Freedom is an inherent right, but it also entails personal responsibility. With the Aquarius/Leo polarity, humanity is learning the karmic lessons of balancing heart and intellect; personal power with group mind. We are entering a point of critical mass in human consciousness going back to the Age of Leo 13,000 years ago. The sign Aquarius signifies the importance of community, collaboration, and group consciousness, not a society run by an elite few. Choose your leaders wisely but take responsibility for your choices. Your voice counts.
This Full Moon falls in the mental air sign of Aquarius, which symbolizes intuition and innovative thinking. Aquarius is the sign of the progressive humanitarian, the bohemian artist, the political reformer, as well as the scientist, tech wizard, and astrologer. If your sun, moon or rising sign is in the sign of Aquarius, you are probably a bit of a closet rebel, and this is your personal Full Moon. Most Aquarians are usually very cool, calm and detached personalities, which make them very interesting to other people. They can also be great humanitarians working for a cause or philosophy, whether it is in the arts or sciences. Although they are group minded with a diverse array of friends, Aquarians often prefer to be alone. You can usually find them working on their computers, while in the midst of a crowded coffee shop.
On a karmic level, the sign Aquarius teaches humanity the lessons of balancing heart with Intellect; personal power with group mind. The sign Aquarius is the Water Bearer of the zodiac, but what is being poured is not liquid, but energy. We receive this “elixir of the gods” as electromagnetic frequency. Our brains get amped up and new neuronal pathways open. The Age of Aquarius will be felt when human compassion matches technological prowess (heart and mind).
The Fixed T-Square with Sun/Moon/Uranus: This Full Moon/Sun opposition in Leo /Aquarius exactly squares Uranus in Taurus forming a challenging fixed T-square. This is a super- charged electrical aspect, which can bring big upsets as well as innovative changes. There may be a “buzzy” feeling inside our cells, as well as a business to everyday reality. It is very important to remain grounded now, but also open to new ideas and progressive thinking. Yoga, meditation, astrology, acupuncture, reiki, energy healing are all ways to work with the electrical energy in the body; and above else, drink LOTS of water and remember to BREATHE.
This Full Moon in Aquarius is a messenger for what is to come next spring. Humanity is standing on the threshold of mind-blowing breakthroughs in scientific and medical technology, as well as astronomy and archaeology. It is important to keep sight of the big picture, rather than getting stuck in the ego trap of immediate gratification. Carl Jung pioneered the concept of “enantiodromia”; which means that when things get to their extreme, they turn to the opposite pole so that balance may be restored. Look at what you are vehemently opposed to right now and then find the balance, the middle path. With Uranus playing such a disruptive cosmic role, anything in extremes may experience a sudden backlash in the opposite direction. The balance point in this T-square is at eleven degrees of Scorpio; and according to Dane Rudyard’s Sabian Symbols is:
“Drowning man rescued. The meaning: helping others; saving one’s breath; resuscitation; ventilators; oxygen; last minute reprieves. Know that help is at hand, and you will be able to breathe again. The caution: Unrealistic reliance on others and lack of self- responsibility”.
Mercury in Cancer with Asteroid Vesta Opposite Saturn in Capricorn: Mercury in Cancer is extremely sensitive and linked to the past; think inner child and emotional memories. Saturn in Capricorn is the no nonsense parent, who tells you to “grow up and get over it!” There is not a lot of empathy flowing between Mercury and Saturn right now; however, Vesta in Cancer is working with Mercury to help restructure your inner world allowing for a more secure sense of emotional stability. In other words, the realizing that true security comes from inside.
HISTORICALLY SPEAKING: In ancient Egypt during times of calamity, such as illness, plague and war, the people called on the Lion-headed Goddess Sekhmet for protection, courage and strength. She comes to those who call on her with truth in their hearts.
MEDITATION FOR THE FULL MOON with EGYPTIAN GODDESS SEKHMET:
Find your inner sanctuary and relax. Light a white and/or red candle, if you wish. Find a comfortable position (sitting or lying down). Take a few deep breaths, letting go of any stress or bodily discomfort. You are safe and protected by your guides and angels, and only Light may fill your presence. You see yourself walking along a well-worn and familiar path leading you to the main gate of a Temple enclosure. The moon is high and full and casts a whitish glow over the temple. You can feel the energy and protection of your guides around you. It is a good feeling; you are home. A white-robed priestess awaits you inside the gate. She hands you a cone of frankincense and leads you to a large bronze door, which she slowly opens. The frankincense fills the room. As the smoke from the incense clears, you find yourself standing before a tall statue made of smooth black granite. It is the image of the Egyptian Goddess, Sekhmet, with her beautiful lion face and well-formed woman’s body. She wears the sun disc on her head as she is the daughter of the Sun God, Ra. She carries a lotus staff in one hand and holds the key of life or ankh, in the other. She stands a full head taller than you, and her eyes look down upon your face. You see your own reflection in her eyes. You are safe here, but you cannot keep any secrets from her, for she can see deeply into your heart. You are here to commune psychically with the Goddess Sekmet. She says that she is here to help you cut the cords that bind you to the past. She can assist in releasing old hurts, emotional wounds, and betrayals. She can devour the past and assist you in shedding outworn layers of cellular memory. Sekmet knows the shamanic realms of magic and manifestation. You now feel safe enough in her presence to ask her for your heart’s desire, and your solar plexus energy feels renewed and recharged. You thank Sekhmet, and as you are leaving her presence, you find that a bright yellow citrine crystal has been placed in your palm. This stone symbolizes your new connection to Sekhmet. The white-robed priestess leads you back through the temple moonlight; back to your own time and space. You feel lighter and more peaceful after this journey. You are whole and in a sound state.
