Well, it certainly seems that 2020 is the year we move from crisis to crisis, evolving (hopefully) with each challenge from the density of the 3D matrix into a healthier, more enlightened world view. We have barely emerged from this spring’s surreal pandemic “lock-down”, as the first of the summer eclipses (June 5) storms in on a massive emotional tidal wave of grief and anger, as well as, compassion and solidarity over the tragic and unjust death of a black man. There is a karmic theme at work here calling out for justice and liberty for all, the very foundation of our national psyche. One man’s death takes on archetypal overtones, since this penetrates to the very core of our nation’s roots; even “eclipsing” the collective fear of covid-19, as thousands of people take to the streets in protest So, this will be the work of the summer eclipses: a healing catharsis individually and collectively on the physical, psychological, and spiritual levels. And so goes evolution. On a very positive note, this particular full moon coincides with “Saga Dawa”, a major Tibetan holy day commemorating the birth and enlightenment of the Buddha. It is believed that all good deeds performed now will be multiplied 100,000 times! Help a neighbor, donate to a worthy cause, feed a hungry child…the opportunities are endless to shine a ray of light in the darkness.

FULL MOON LUNAR ECLIPSE IN SAGITTARIUS JUNE 5, 2020.
The first eclipse of the summer begins with this full moon June 5; next is the June 21 solar eclipse; and finally, a second lunar eclipse on July 4-5. These eclipses follow a 19- year cycle, which goes back to the year 2001 and the tragic events of 9/11 and “the war on terrorism”. Back then, compassion and a heart-felt sense of national bonding helped our country to heal, and it can do so again. All three of these summer eclipses impact the natal chart of the US; so it is important to remember that we, as individuals, comprise the collective emotional response patterns of a nation.
The June 5th full moon is a lunar eclipse at 17 degrees of Sagittarius. A lunar eclipse is a full moon with an exclamation point; it over- emphasizes things. Lunar eclipses highlight emotional issues: the important women in your life, intimate relationships, habits and past memories. You now have the opportunity to reboot old programming and begin a new 19-year cycle depending on where the eclipse falls in your natal chart. Also, in a more immediate timeframe, what was “seeded” just fourteen days ago with the Gemini New Moon (gathering and sharing information) now comes to light.
Sagittarius is a fire sign and symbolizes the quest for truth and freedom. It is the spirit of Prometheus stealing fire from the gods in order to enlighten humanity. The sign Sagittarius governs our personal belief systems, our philosophy of life; our spiritual, as well as political conscience. Are we humans “locked down” in a perpetual 3D matrix of fear and chaos, or will we finally access the codes of the higher dimensions of Light? This is a time for all humans to exercise compassion and restraint, and above all, to remember that you create your reality through your own thoughts and words.
During any Full Moon, the Sun and Moon are in opposite signs. This month, the Sun is in the Air sign, Gemini, and the Moon is in the Fire sign, Sagittarius. The Fire/Air polarity has a tendency to “speak first and think later”, but this could also trigger the response for much needed action. Sagittarians follow their own intuition and inner guidance tending to be optimistic, adventurous, and good-humored most of the time, but they can become vehement opponents when personal beliefs, political beliefs, and religious beliefs are at stake. The shadow side of Sagittarius is fanaticism and dogma. The Full Moon is a good time to ask yourself if your political, spiritual and philosophical views reflect what you actually think, or merely regurgitate what you have been sold as the Truth. Have the courage to speak your truth; but allow others the freedom to express theirs as well. We are all spirits choosing to inhabit the illusion of the material world.
Ideally, Sagittarius charts the course for expanded consciousness. What have you learned over the last 19-years….spiritually, intellectually and emotionally? Are you flexible enough to accept change…strong enough to stay centered?
The Sagittarian Full Moon emphasizes the need to stretch out of your comfort zone and expand your horizons…open your mind…read…travel. We are never too old to learn (or teach) something new. Keeping your body flexible keeps your mind flexible and vice versa. You may not all be able to hop on a jet plane to a foreign land yet, but you can spend time in nature walking, bicycling, breathing, enjoying the freedom of nature. During this stressful time, take the time to meditate; connect with your Spirit Guides, Guardian Angels, Power Animals… trust your intuition. The messages are there for you; just be open and listen.
MUTABLE T-SQUARE with Sun/Venus in Gemini opposite the Full Moon in Sagittarius and square Mars in Pisces: This is a challenging aspect, even when there is not a lunar eclipse involved in the mix. Mixed media messages (Gemini), misplaced self-righteousness (Sagittarius), and martyrdom (Pisces) create a perfect storm of fanatical thinking and emotional trigger-points. Also, with both Pluto and Jupiter vying for total supremacy in the sign of Capricorn, power issues become overblown. Might does NOT make right! This is a time for clear thinking and calming words. Decisions made now due to mob mentality or bullying will come back to haunt us later.
Mercury in Cancer: I will be writing much more on the upcoming Mercury retrograde in my next newsletter. Mercury in Cancer is very sentimental and wants to nurture; so let us use this energy to heal our wounds, and protect, not only our “tribe”, but all life.
The Retrogrades Continue: Pluto, Neptune, Saturn, Jupiter and Venus have all joined the retrograde parade. This continues the intense amount of retrograde activity during the second half of 2020. The outer planets are the heavy hitters here; they rule over collective territory not just the personal level of things; so we are in the midst of a BIG cosmic learning curve! Governments, as well as individuals, will be re-thinking, re-evaluating and restructuring plans; whether it is choosing the next stimulus package, political convention site, or vice presidential candidate, expect some false starts and stops.
On a personal level, this does not mean that you have to abort or give up plans entirely; on the contrary, these retrogrades give the opportunity to re-invent or fine tune your thoughts and actions, or merely postpone them to a more opportune time. The formula for the 2020 summer of retrogrades: Review, Restructure, Rebuild, Reinvent. There is hope for a better future if we can act responsibly now and face our “shadow” (fears). The Universal Divine Mother has given us the keys with the gifts of Neptune (Compassion) and Venus (Love). The Divine Feminine is making her presence felt, if we can open our hearts for her grace to flow!
