Happy New Moon in Gemini and Welcome to Gemini Season – the realm of the mind! Gemini is busy like a bee flitting from flower to flower and we have multiple planets in Gemini (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Vesta, and the North Node), so we have mental energy to burn. Think words, visions, languages, poetry, stories, knowledge, Gemini craves more and this has a potent influence on how we are feeling and focusing right now.
Gemini’s winds whirl. The multifaceted storyteller of the zodiac, Gemini’s information is constantly on the move. No version of the tale sticks for too long as breaking news is always incoming for these reporters.
Holding on to nothing and channeling everything, Gemini’s ability to consider a myriad of possibilities is unnerving to most, but a place of comfort for this mutable air sign. Gemini is the breath that pushes forth each sentiment we utter. Its speech sparkles with witticisms offered at a speed few can recreate. Its mind is ceaseless in its chatter.
The symbol for Gemini is the twins, so while one side of this sign is out and about, the other side needs to retreat. Versatility is one of Gemini’s main characteristics but so too is a drastic shift in temperament. Mercurial, Gemini can talk to anyone, anywhere, but must also have time to be in exchange with themselves. Time for deep inner dialogues are much needed.
This New Moon asks for such attunement. ~ Chani Nicholas
The duality of Gemini reminds us to use this energy and the influence of the retrogrades (see below) to review our own contradictions, to see how our light and shadow play together. In the outer world, this duality is also reflected in the lessons of the pandemic – how our personal actions directly affect others. We also are seeing the lesson that “words matter” as we try to make sense of all the new rules, and phases, and contradictory information that bombards us daily.
Physically, Gemini rules the nervous system and the lungs. Remember to BREATHE. Step outside into the sunlight and just inhale. Gemini energy can cause our minds to race and we can become overwhelmed. Plan for some extra self care and some tech breaks over the next few weeks. Harness the whirling mental energy to vision and plan – what are you focusing on for Summer? How are you emerging from the chrysalis of quarantine and re-entering the world? Are you “holding” your breath? What needs to be released to create more breathing room?
The Wisdom Goddesses are calling us to sync our energy with Sacred Studies, to let loose our creative energy into reading, writing, learning, and teaching. Gather your women friends for a virtual circle to tell stories, to share information about a mutual topic of interest, or to do readings and channel divine messages for each other.
As Spring prepares to usher in the Summer season, I wish you the brightest sunshine and most beautiful blooms. Gaia has adorned Herself and we get to reap the benefits from the meadows full of buzzing bees to the sacred shores of Yemaya. While our challenges continue with the pandemic, there is a feeling of a corner turned. How do you want to show up in the world?
From my heart to your heart, I send you and yours well wishes and much love.
Be well, be safe, and I hope to see you in the circles and upcoming events! Thank you for being part of our community!

“Our longing for community and purpose is so powerful that it can drive us to join groups, relationships, or systems of belief that, to our diminished or divided self, give the false impression of belonging. But places of false belonging grant us conditional membership, requiring us to cut parts of ourselves off in order to fit in. While false belonging can be useful and instructive for a time, the soul becomes restless when it reaches a glass ceiling, a restriction that prevents us from advancing. We may shrink back from this limitation for a time, but as we grow into our truth, the invisible boundary closes in on us and our devotion to the groupmind weakens. Your rebellion is a sign of health. It is the way of nature to shatter and reconstitute. Anything or anyone who denies your impulse to grow must either be revolutionised or relinquished.” ~ Toko-pa Turner, “Belonging”

Wherever the sign of Gemini falls in your chart (by house position) will be activated by this New Moon. Gemini symbolizes how you perceive the universe, and then converts it into your “knowingness”. It is also the area of your chart, where you like to play; have fun and be social. For example, if you have Gemini in the 5th house, you may have a fully developed creative skill or hobby (writing, music, art, performing, dance, sports, etc.); your creative efforts are like your “children”; or you may actually be in a profession doing work that involves children.
Gemini in the 11th house loves to join groups, organizations or social media groups. The part of the body ruled by Gemini is the arms, hands and respiratory system (lungs).
Breathing problems, allergies, nervous disorders, and restless anxiety are all Gemini related issues. During this New Moon, Geminis, in particular, may feel like they are on “overwhelm”, so try to spend a few hours “unplugged” from your electronic devices and go out into nature wherever possible. Remember, oxygen feeds your brain. If you are feeling anxious with too much going on (or too little), get a notebook or journal and jot down your thoughts and ideas the old-fashioned way. The physical act of writing is an amazingly healing experience and one of the best paths to self-discovery.
There are a fair few archetypes associated with Gemini- the fairy, the philosopher, the pan, the messenger etc. As we were doing our research for this blog we were really drawn to the archetype of the Alchemist and started to research female Alchemists which we’ve featured below. The definition of Alchemy is “a seemingly magical process of transformation, creation, or combination.” Alchemists are fascinated with human being’s relationship to the world around them whether it be through the elements, the natural world or the cosmos. We thought this idea of Alchemy worked really well tied in with the theme of metamorphosis. It also ties in to Gemini’s love of innovating and creating. As we stand at the threshold of a new way of being – in the alchemy lab of your heart and mind what would you like to concoct? How would you like to innovate a new way of being for yourself?
“Alchemy is defined as the process of taking something ordinary and turning it into something extraordinary, sometimes in a way that cannot be explained. An example of using alchemy is a person who takes a pile of scrap metal and turns it into beautiful art.” – YOUR DICTIONARY
We can take inspiration from this quote above and look at how we can transform the seemingly ordinary of every day into something extraordinary. We can even learn to transform difficult situations into gold, by valuing the lessons in them. As you look back on the last 8 years, what gold can you find in all the challenges you have faced? In your journal, make a list of your gold!
