“Learning how to be kind to ourselves, learning how to respect ourselves, is important. The reason it’s important is that, fundamentally, when we look into our own hearts and begin to discover what is confused and what is brilliant, what is bitter and what is sweet, it isn’t just ourselves that we’re discovering. We’re discovering the universe. When we discover the Buddha that we are, we discover that everything and everyone is Buddha. We discover that everything is awake and everyone is awake. Everything is equally precious and whole and good. When we regard thoughts and emotions with humor and openness, that’s how we perceive the universe. We’re not just talking about our individual liberation, but how to help the community we live in, how to help our families, our country, and the whole continent, not to mention the world and the galaxy and as far as we want to go.” ~ Pema Chodron – When Things Fall Apart – Heart Advice for Difficult Times
In this moment, all is right with my world. The sun is shining and the birds are singing as they hop from tree to ground to tree. My coffee is hot and my incense is sweet. Kitties are cuddled in and I can hear my son’s breath as he is sleeping. I am infused with my morning chants and prayers. I feel my heart swell, holding space for my Beloved Bodhisattvas tending to all the suffering in our world. Deep breath. I am.
The collective energy of the world right now is overwhelming. Panic and fear are hovering and ready to take the smallest opening and trigger us. Those who are psychically sensitive to the collective need to take extra measures to balance and center each day and protect against energetic overflow. Strengthen your chakras, aura, and energetic fields. I highly recommend my Personal Protection Practice – Blowing Bubbles to provide an extra layer of protection in your everyday, for meditation, and for journeywork.
Seek out the moments of calm, of center. Emotions are running high so wherever we find refuge is a good thing, so is sitting with your fear and overwhelm. See it, acknowledge it, have a good cry, and then make a shift. If you feel alone, reach out. Gather with friends and family on Zoom – contact and laughter are great balms! Read a good book, have popcorn and movies, take a nap. CBD oil is another great helper and I take it internally and use it externally. Kim at Murphy’s Essentials can answer questions and help get you sorted.
You are also invited to join me tomorrow, 4/2/20, for the Goddess Tara’s birthday!
