The fall season is in full swing in the Northern hemisphere. The Great Wheel of the Year turns, and we are reminded of the cosmic laws of “karma” and “reciprocity”. Personal relationships are highlighted this month as the Sun moves through the signs of Libra and Scorpio. In order to really “give peace a chance” on a global level, harmony and balance must first be restored in our heart and minds; this is the real meaning of “Homeland Security.

FULL MOON IN ARIES: OCTOBER 13, 2019
Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, the cardinal fire sign symbolizing raw energy, courage, and the will to live. It is ruled by the planet Mars, the planet of war and conquest, but Aries is also the sign of the Hero Archetype and the spiritual warrior and Shaman. During every Full Moon, the sun is in the opposite sign of the Moon. The Sun is now in the sign of Libra emphasizing the need for balance, diplomacy in our relationships, and most of all, Love. Finding the balance between these two (Aries/Libra) polarities is no easy task. It is the balance between male/female; yin/yang; love/hate; war/peace; dark/light. As long as we exist in a world of duality, we will be faced with the issue of reconciling opposite extremes. The key is merging the opposites within our own psyche; recognizing our own shadow, and forgiving ourselves and others. There is no other way out of 3 D “Matrix”.
Aries is the cardinal fire sign, the first sign of the zodiac. On the personality level, it is where we begin to “individuate” and strengthen our egos. If you have your Sun, Moon or Ascendant in the sign is Aries, you may feel more emotional and impatient during this full moon. Try to think things through, or get a second opinion before making any hasty or rash decisions, especially if it involves partnership.
Also, where the sign of Aries falls in your birth chart denotes in which area (s) of life you are willing to take a risk, and/or, where you are feeling restless and want to make changes. The trick with Aries is to implement change without being reckless, impatient or scattered. For all of us, Full Moons illuminate and fulfill the promise of the intentions made at the previous New Moon (see my September 28th New Moon update) ). Also, take some time to review where any changes have occurred in your life since the eclipses of July and August. This full moon will illuminate your personal “works in progress”!
PLANETARY PICTURES: Cardinal T-square with Saturn and Pluto
CARDINAL T-SQUARE: Pluto and Saturn both in the sign of CAPRICORN exactly square the Moon in Aries and the Sun in Libra. This can be a very challenging aspect if we do not heed our “inner wisdom”. We may feel like we are held in emotional “lockdown” with no way out. It is important not to cave into fear right now, as the South Node (karmic indicator) is also in Capricorn.
We may feel like our very survival is at stake, since Capricorn deals with physical security (money, power, government), but the key is to find new solutions to old problems (Uranus in Taurus), and to have faith in the future (Jupiter in Sagittarius). As the Dalai Lama says: “Faith and right action can create miracles”!
Pluto and Saturn have a certain “fated” quality about them. Sweeping tides of change cannot be ignored. It is important to know you are not a victim, but have the right to stand up for yourself and your beliefs. Pluto brings about lasting change, but Saturn demands that we take responsibility for our actions.
It may become necessary to separate from toxic people or situations that hinder our emotional growth. Inner guidance can now from many sources: physical teachers, mentors, elders, counselors, or through spiritual teachers and/or guides on the inner planes. The important theme is to take the time to “listen” (like the Hermit in the Tarot deck) in quiet and stillness for the message(s) to come forth. With meditation and focused intention, we can create emotional balance in our lives and relationships. At this time, Saturn in Capricorn is also conjoined with the South Node, indicating that only by healing the past, can we move forward emotionally as individuals, as nations, and as human beings.
