If things feel like they are speeding up, they are!! We are feeling the big “mother of all surprises” planet, Uranus, as it aligns with this full moon in the “earthy” sign of Taurus. This is a major cosmic reminder that we are all stewards of this beautiful planet, and that we also have physical bodies that need a great deal of TLC at this time We may not be able to change the world overnight, but we can all remember to breathe, spend more time in nature, and use the spiritual tools available to us. Uranus in Taurus will bring about renewed interests in the healing gifts of the Mother Earth: crystals, essential oils, shamanism, and plant medicines. The self- help formula for this Full Moon in Taurus is meditation, massage, and music!

FULL MOON IN TAURUS OCTOBER 24, 2018:
This month’s Full Moon falls in the Earth sign Taurus, which rules the five perceptual senses; our connection to the physical world, Mother Nature and our bodies. It is important that we take our bodies and our physical health seriously. The ruler of the sign Taurus is the planet Venus, which teaches us about what we love and value most in life. Taurus also rules the throat chakra and our “voice”. How do we express and create through sound? Our words are important. Mantras, music, singing all help to channel positive energy. This is the time to remember that “The body is the Temple; and Sound is the Key.”
In ancient Egypt, the Goddess Hathor ruled over the sign of Taurus and the constellation of the Pleiades. Hathor taught all women about love, beauty and the arts. No matter how chaotic the sounds of the 3D world become, this is the cosmic cycle for attuning our hearts and minds to Love.
You will feel this Full Moon wherever you have the sign Taurus falling in your birth chart.
Taurus is a feminine earth sign ruled by Venus; her motto is “Make love, not war”. The Moon in Taurus is your comfort zone; it is where you find your “security blanket”. The Moon in Taurus is represented by the Great Earth Mother, nurturing and safe. Taureans appreciate the finer things in life, and usually take great pride in what they create. Their artistic talents can be expressed through music, art, dance, fashion, architecture, and especially food.
Because Taureans like to feel secure, they can also be very adept with money and the world of finance, such as, investments, real estate and art. They like to feel solid ground beneath their feet, and do best when they can spend time in nature, or at least their own backyard garden. This is the perfect time to indulge in a relaxing massage; romantic dinner; musical concert; or quiet walk in the park.
Full Moon Conjunct Uranus in Taurus opposite Venus and the Sun in Scorpio
Venus is still retrograde in the sign of Scorpio. Venus is retrograde from October 5 to November 16. With Venus retrograde in the sign of Scorpio be very aware of who comes into and/or leaves your life at this point. Everything is in reflection. We now have the power to attract positive relationships (Libra), once we process our own “shadow” (Scorpio). Since Jupiter is now direct in Scorpio, it is important to move on and not cling to our old dysfunctional patterns of relating. Since Venus also rules money and abundance, these lessons also reflect our beliefs about material wealth and self-worth.
The indigenous people teach about the “Laws of Reciprocity” and “giving and receiving. Balance is essential. Learning about astrology, psychology and the healing arts is a great way to use this energy for growth and transformation, rather than deluding ourselves that we are just victims of circumstances beyond our control. Diving down deep and exploring our human “shadow” side: sex, death, money and power become essential. We will see this play out in government and political scandals galore; but how this will affect each one of us in personally is a new theme to explore. Where the sign Scorpio falls in your natal chart, will highlight how the Venus issues are reflected in your life right now.) With the Full Moon and Uranus in opposition to Venus, we can expect the unexpected in our relationships (especially with women) and/or money. Sudden break-ups or tension may flare up around the theme of “freedom”.
The Good News is that the Moon and Uranus are also Trine Saturn in Capricorn. This is a positive aspect in the earth signs, which means this is an excellent time to implement positive changes in our lives. We will get the opportunity over the next few months to “reframe” the old paradigms concerning “might equals right”; “manifest destiny”; and the “conquerors take all”. On a personal level, it is also the perfect time to let go of the old resentments and beliefs, which keep us stuck in the past. The operative issue here is that we do not get stuck in old fear issues (especially fears about lack and failure); but continue to have faith in ourselves. It is important to be flexible and to forgive ourselves and others for any perceived past “wrongs”. One of the biggest lessons of Taurus is self-love (not selfishness) tempered with patience. Separation, whether by religious, political or cultural dogma, will be overcome as more humans realize that we are co-creators of our New Earth.
MEDITATION FOR THE TAURUS FULL MOON with GODDESS HATHOR:
You may want to prepare for this meditation with a relaxing bath or shower. Light a white candle. Find a comfortable position where your body feels at ease. Close your eyes and begin to breathe deeply. Concentrate on a golden ball of energy floating above you, and encircling you from the soles of your feet to the top of your head. Continue breathing. Feel the golden spiral of energy spinning inside your heart chakra and filling your body from the inside out with a warm glow. As your body begins to feel lighter, you see the form of a beautiful woman standing before you. This is Hathor, the Egyptian Goddess of beauty, love and music. She wears a long, shimmering white garment graced with a blue lotus necklace made with pure turquoise and gold. In one hand, she holds a metal rattle, called the sistrum, which sound banishes negativity. In her other hand, she holds the sacred blue lotus, the symbol of immortality. On her dark hair sits the royal sun-disc crown as worn by the Queens of ancient Egypt; for she is also the Great Mother of Egypt, the primordial feminine energy from which all life is nurtured and to which all life returns. As your inner perception becomes more attuned to her radiance, you hear the soft rattle of her sistrum, and her sweet voice chanting your name very softly. As you listen to the sound of her voice blending harmoniously with the sistrum, your body begins to vibrate to a new healing frequency, resonating like a tuning fork. This is your own personal tone. You feel your heart expand; your throat open; you feel less burdened. Hathor sings her song just for you, and your body knows how to translate it. You allow these sounds to rest within your cells for as long as you need. You feel rested and replenished. As you open your eyes, you see that Hathor has left you a gift, her beautiful Blue Lotus, the flower of life.
