Hello Everyone,
Happy Fall!! This Full Moon in Aries coincides with the time of the Autumn Equinox in the northern hemisphere. As the Great Wheel of the Year turns once more to the sign of Libra, we are reminded of the ancient cosmic laws of “karma” and “reciprocity”. What we sow, we shall reap; and we must learn to give, as well as receive. This is a time to reflect on all our relations with renewed hope and faith. Harmony and balance can be restored in our lives with the right intention.
As the time gets closer for my departure to Egypt in November, I am happy to announce pre- registration for our next “Temple Beautiful Revisited” trip to Egypt March 2019. This trip is designed so you can enjoy Egypt at a more leisurely pace with more time in Luxor’s temples; overnight at Abydos and a full day in Alexandria. Over the years, I have been blessed to have guided over 37 trips to Egypt. Thank you, Egypt! Full details and itinerary at www.pachaterra.com

FULL MOON IN ARIES SEPTEMBER 24, 2018 :
Aries is the sign the symbolizing raw energy, courage, and the will to live. It is ruled by the planet Mars, the planet of war, blood and conquerors, but Aries is also the sign of the Hero Archetype; he is no coward. During every Full Moon, the sun is in the opposite sign of the Moon. The Sun is in the sign of Libra during this Full Moon emphasizing the need for balance, diplomacy, reciprocity in our relationships, and most of all, Love. Finding the balance between these two (Aries/Libra) polarities is no easy task. It is the balance between male/female; yin/yang; love/hate; dark/light. As long as we exist in a world of duality, we will be faced with the issue of reconciling opposite extremes. The key is merging the opposites within our own psyche; recognizing our own shadow, and forgiving ourselves and others. There is no other way out of the “Matrix”. The sign of Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, the cardinal fire sign. This Full Moon is the first Full Moon following the Autumn Equinox; hence, we are still at a time of crucial balance; a crossroads where it is urgently necessary to declare our intentions for life and love.
PERSONALLY SPEAKING:
Aries is the cardinal fire sign, the first sign of the zodiac. On the personality level, it is where we begin to “individuate” and stretch our egos. If your Sun sign is Aries, this is your personal Full Moon. It is time to take the initiative; be proactive, rather than sitting on the sidelines. Full Moons illuminate and fulfill the promise of the intentions made at the New Moon (14 days prior). What “seeds” would you like to see bloom now?
Also, take some time to review where any changes have occurred in your life since the Leo solar eclipse of last August 11, 2018. Fire signs do not wait for procrastinators! This Full Moon in Aries “fast forwards” events, themes and intentions that may have been initiated with the solar eclipse. Also, where the sign of Aries falls in your birth chart denotes in which area (s) of life you are willing to take a risk, and/or, where you are feeling restless and want to make changes. The trick with Aries is to implement change without being reckless, impatient or scattered. This full moon will illuminate your personal “works in progress”, aka your life.
PLANETARY PICTURES:
Full Moon T-Square with Saturn in Capricorn exactly square the Moon in Aries and Sun in Libra. This can be a challenging aspect if we do not heed our “inner wisdom”. Sometimes, it is necessary to separate from people or situations that are hindering our spiritual growth or causing toxic emotional problems. Our guidance can come through physical teachers, mentors, elders, counselors, or through spiritual teachers and/or guides on the inner planes. The important theme is to take the time to “listen” (like the Hermit in the Tarot deck) and be quiet and still for the message(s) to occur. With this T-square, it may not be “party-time”, but with meditation and focused intention, we can create emotional balance in our lives and relationships. Saturn in Capricorn is also conjoined with the asteroid Vesta (Goddess of light of wisdom) at this time. Her eternal flame of faith illuminates even the darkest path.
Sun & Mercury in Libra trine Mars in Aquarius (air signs) is a positive aspect which allows us to think through difficult problems and come up with unique and creative solutions. Patience is the key. Mars in Aquarius likes to view things from a detached perspective. The Libran Sun and Mercury weigh the facts before jumping to rash conclusions. If we can keep our “knee jerk “ emotional responses under control (Aries Moon), there is great potential for positive mental changes and outlook in the coming days.
In ancient Egypt, the Goddess Maat symbolized truth, justice and balance. She wears the white feather of purity as her crown; she is incorruptible. She weighed an individual’s heart on the scales of justice to ascertain whether or not they were worthy of the afterlife. The heart had to be lighter than a feather on her karmic scales of balance. Maat is associated with the sign of Libra, and she is the perfect balance to the Aries “heat of the moment” intensity. We can call on her to balance our karma with “right action” as she assists us in finding the right words to speak up for ourselves.
Blessings,
Mary
