As we reach the climax of this Leo/Aquarius eclipse cycle, we are one again confronted with a sudden unexpected tragedy perpetrated by random violence perpetrated. Our hearts are filled with grief, and our minds question why? The symbolism of the Heart is extremely powerful, as the collective, once again, gathers together in prayer, compassion and support. Amidst all the tears of shock and sadness, the voices of change are gathering!

NEW MOON IN AQUARIUS SOLAR ECLIPSE:
During any eclipse, the natural “light” is blocked for the duration of the eclipse; during these phenomena, our human (and planetary) bio-energetic fields “collapse and get re-booted”. An “eclipse” means something must end, so that something new may be created. What part of our old self needs to be surrendered, so that we may move forward?
With the eclipses of January 31 and February 15 in the Leo/Aquarius polarity, humanity is learning the karmic lessons of balancing Heart and Intellect; personal power with group mind. We are entering a point of critical mass balancing lessons going back to Atlantis, when the “revolutionizing” of human consciousness which began in the Age of Leo 13,000 years ago. We are being made aware of the fact that in order to magnetize our highest future potential, the brain and the heart must be connected (Leo and Aquarius). This New Moon eclipse is cosmic window through which the the Aquarian vessel containing the “water of life” or cosmic consciousness can pour through to humankind. The “great work” of true alchemy is to find the divine seed within us and nurture it with the light, but the transmutation process is not an easy one. We are living through global revolutions, economic collapse; trials by fire, wind, and water; but the core of enlightened consciousness remains intact. We, humans, are responsible for the New Earth we are creating. Let us do it through Love, Wisdom and Cooperation. The sign Aquarius signifies the importance of community, collaboration and “group “consciousness AND freedom OF CHOICE IN CAPITAL LETTERS!
ALL Solar eclipses are New Moons, but not all New Moons are solar eclipses. Think back to the Total Leo Solar Eclipse of Aug 2017. What important events, people and situations have come into your life or changed since August 20, 2017. How has your world shifted since then? There is a cycle of completion in operation with this February Solar Eclipse.
Eclipses travel in 19 year cycles. A Solar Eclipse is usually “event-oriented”; fated events seem to take place. There may be major endings before significant beginnings.
What was happening in your life in 1999? There is a message there for you during this eclipse. The ancient astrologers believed that it was better not to take action under eclipses. The rule is that it is better to listen to what others have to say or reveal to you, rather than for you to make demands or issue ultimatums. Most of the time, it is better to ride out the wave of an eclipse before taking direct action. Better to act later, when things are more settled. You will have more information to put the all puzzle pieces together. Meditate and try to tune in to your inner guidance. Use the timing of this eclipse wisely…meditate if you can; insights, dreams and synchronicities may hold important information from your higher self over the coming weeks. A new chapter is beginning as the old one closes.
The Aquarian Moon is an air sign which symbolizes intuition and perception. Aquarius is the sign of the progressive thinker, the bohemian artist, the political reformer, as well as the scientist, the astrologer, the computer whiz, and closet rebel. Aquarius is all about evolution. This is the time to move past fear, break free of old limiting beliefs and breathe new life/new light into your cells.
PLANETARY ASPECTS:
Both Uranus and Mercury deal with our Higher and Lower Minds, respectively. We have this eclipse “window of opportunity” to create new patterns of thinking globally, as well as, personally.
The planet Uranus, “the Great Awakener” in the late degrees of Aries makes a positive aspect with this New Moon eclipse. This signals a great “quickening “ in the collective consciousness; a great leap forward is possible, if we are able to shift our perception from “lock down” to “break through”.
Mercury,” the Messenger” is also in the sign of Aquarius “eclipsed” by the Sun and the Moon.
We are being asked to look for answers deep within ourselves. Step away from the chaos of the moment to free your mind of clutter and mindless chatter. New solutions to old problems rise from the “quiet” of the Mind.
In ancient Egypt, the sign Aquarius was associated with the Sky Goddess Nut, whose body arches over earth to form the vault of heaven and the heart of the Milky Way. In the hieroglyphic system, the sacred water jar was the symbol of the Goddess Nut, as well as the feminine principle. This key symbol, the sacred vessel, represents the womb of the Great Mother, the Grail of cosmic consciousness. Inside her chapel at Dendera Temple, the ancient Egyptian New Year was celebrated as the star Sirius rose in the heavens.
It was a time of renewal, hope and optimism that the Great Goddess would bestow her blessings on the land through the abundance of the life-giving Nile. If Isis is the World Mother, then Nut is our Star Mother. Like the Star card in the Tarot deck, she gives us hope for the future. She is the harbinger of the New Age of Aquarius. A new world is being born.
