As you continue breathing, relax each part of your body; first your feet, then your legs, your knees, your thighs; your sex organs, relax, relax, your abdomen relax, your stomach relax, your chest and your internal organs in your chest relax and your back relax, your shoulders relax, your arms relax, your hands relax; your neck relaxes; your faces relaxes, the top of your head relaxes. And as the top of your head relaxes, as your whole body relaxes, sense that your are protected here, now, in the increasing darkness which frightens some because it leads to the unknown, but which you sense as comforting and protecting.
And as you continue to sit in darkness with your eyes closed, your vision becomes more acute, so that you can see a figure far away…..Your visitor begins moving closer and though you cannot fully see the details, you sense this visitor is good. The visitor stops a few feet in front of you and you can see the visitor is wearing a mask. Is the visitor also wearing a costume? Is it a human or an animal? Right now you may not be able to fully identify the figure. Look carefully at the mask or costume. How does it make you feel? Is it a funny mask or costume? A beautiful costume? Or some other type of costume? Do you think the costume gives you any kind of hint about the visitor’s identity?…..Now, if you’d like, ask the visitor to take off the mask or costume…… Is this someone you know? If it is, is she or he alive now or have they passed over? It may be a friend or relative or a familiar. Or an ancestor. Or a historical person. What does this visitor look like now?….How do you feel when you look at your visitor?….If you know his or her name, say it in your mind now…..Does the individual say anything to you?….If you’d like, ask the person why she or he is here now…..If there’s anything else you want to say to your visitor, say it now…..After you are finished communicating with your visitor, tell them it is time for the two of you to end this contact and say goodbye…..
Your visitor is gone now. In a moment you will return to this place and time. To prepare yourself, move your fingers, move your hands, move whichever parts of your body you feel like moving, and when you are ready, come back to this place and time and open your eyes.
