Your sacred space is where you can find yourself again and again. — Joseph Campbell
Sacred Space is what you make it. It can be an intentional altar, a room, a chair, an outdoor space.
The key is the feeling. How does your heart express itself in this space?
Gather your symbols, your treasures. What reminds you to step into the extraordinary?
Use the season for inspiration. Drape fairy lights, slowly spin through incense smoke. Infuse your space with color ~ scarves, fabrics, tapestries, prayer flags. Evoke the sacred with artwork, favorite quotes, sculptures, statues. Invite the sacred with scent, crystals, vibrate at the level you crave. Make it your own and clear the way for consecration of your space and your Self.
Evoke your heart space, your sacred space. Banish fear, stress, anxiety and step into a world of your own holy creation.
Before creating sacred space, we should always clean the space, whether through smudging, music, ceremony, or scent. Banish the old energy, that which no longer serves. The next activity will take you through tips to cleanse and purify your space.
My entire house is an altar to the Holy. I invite Goddesses and Guardians every morning by chanting mantras, lighting candles and incense, and spending time in reflection. I also love to create seasonal altars that reflect the larger cycles and remind me to sync into how Gaia is expressing herself right now.
How do you invite the sacred into your space?
