Since I have been back from Egypt, (and having experienced many physical and metaphysical changes on that journey), I have been pondering what it truly means to be a spiritual being in a physical world…what is “Light” as our human brain understands it…and why do bodies succumb to the “old” programming of deterioration and death? Two eclipses (and more than a few peak experiences later), I feel that my body is running two programs at once; the old version and the new upgrade. Sometimes the interface is seamless; at other times, I feel like the entire system is crashing, but the good news is that it never does. As the ancient Egyptians taught, humans come with an in-built “fail safe system”, which is our connection to the Light; this connection may dim occasionally, but it never goes out!
During the Equinox/Solar eclipse of March 20th, as I was meditating inside the Great Pyramid of Giza, the phrase “light body” took on an altogether different meaning. Rather than a body made of light; I was aware of being very present in my physical body, but feeling incredibly lighter. My physical senses were more heightened, more electrified, and my heart felt “lighter” than a feather. Peace and Love were not just words, but actually attainable on the physical plane! I had no aches or pains, no wants or needs…I was actually “present” in my body and quite happy. It was quite the “aha” moment for me…the realization of what the Human Body is actually capable of achieving when 3D interference is not present. So how do we get past that interference? It’s what all the “Masters” have taught: Prayer, Meditation and Compassion for all life. There is no shortcut to enlightenment, but there are clues, if we have the eyes to see them. We really are walking between worlds at this time, and Egypt is, and always has been, an incredible “fast track” to the higher dimensions. I am very blessed to have spent the past month there, and with eyes open. We have all come through a difficult period, since last November. Now, it is time to regroup energetically as a new solar cycle begins with the sign of Aries. This is the season of increased sunlight when nature becomes more fertile, and the human pineal gland becomes more active…a time of optimal growth and evolution on many levels.
This New Moon at 28 degrees Aries is a crucial turning point. Aries is the cardinal fire sign, the first sign of the zodiac. On the personality level, it is where we begin to “individuate” and stretch our egos. Aries is all about courage and idealism; standing up for our own rights, as well as others. It is also important to realize that change is possible without being reckless, impatient or scattered. During this New Moon we have three major planets (Sun, Moon and Uranus) in the sign Aries opposite the North Node (Destiny Point) in Libra and square Pluto in Capricorn. This is a very challenging, yet hopeful, aspect. Disruption and change in the status quo are necessary for growth. The Moon with Uranus signifies emotional as well as physical change. Even in the midst of the most unexpected life events, there is a divine pattern (karmic theme) at work. The North Node points to the direction where we still have lessons to learn; in the sign of Libra, it signals the need for balance and stability in our relations. In other words, don’t overreact…take a deep breath…and ask for the highest good in all situations. (Easier said than done, I know…but it just takes practice….)
The planet Pluto has also just turned retrograde (April 16 until Sept 24), and planetary waves of “shock and awe” will continue to reverberate through human consciousness until we realize (personally and collectively) that change is only possible when are willing to forgive, let go, and “die” to the past. Death and rebirth are the themes. What is no longer working must either be eliminated or transformed. The past two solar and lunar eclipse of 3/20 and 4/4 have sped up this process exponentially. The good news is that things which have been hidden or kept secret (often from ages past) will be revealed. Our concept of “death” will change as humans finally grasp the concept that “energy can neither be created, nor destroyed, only transformed.”
Aries is the first (cardinal) Fire sign of the zodiac. It is the sign of spring, new life, and new beginnings. If your Sun sign is Aries, this is your personal New Moon. It is a good time to actively participate in life, rather than sitting it out on the sidelines. Begin a new project, make plans for the future; have an adventure, but take some positive action. Aries is NOT the sign of the procrastinator! Where the sign of Aries falls in your birth chart will tell what area (s) of life you are willing to take some risks, or where you are feeling restless and want to see changes. Since the ruling planet of Aries is Mars (the god of war), the trick with Aries is to implement new changes without being bossy or impatient; but Mars also enlivens Aries with energy, passion and courage. It’s hard to keep an Aries down!
