Visioning a new year is a process for me. A journey that includes the sacred and material word considerations. Vision 2015 creates the foundation from which I launch into the New Year and a touchstone that I can come back to again and again throughout the year. These are the metrics that I use to analyze the year when we arrive on the threshold of 2016. After sharing this post on my personal site, I thought it would be fun to share on The MotherHouse to get some Goddess New Year Visioning going!
A new journal is collected … I lay out my colored pens … a stack of magazines is ready to be snipped and pasted … I turn on the music and whooshhhh … Vision 2015 begins.
It sometimes takes a week or two to get everything together and then I proceed with the these vital pieces of magic in my year. I spend time reflecting on the previous year as well to see how the unwinding occurred and what needs adjusting, birthing, letting go.
Here are the focuses of Vision 2015:
I am stepping into 2015 armed with my Core Desired Feelings from my second working of The Desire Map. Since I became a licensed facilitator for The Desire Map, I had the opportunity to go through the whole process in community with other facilitators. The simplicity of The Desire Map is revolutionary. Seeing the results in my life and my business catalyzed 2014 for me and I am thrilled to be able to share and activate this process for other women. My Core Desired Feelings for 2015 are: Shakti Radical Bliss Made Manifest
Roots have been a theme for me since last year (was my power word of last year!) and I was not quite sure where they would pop up for Vision 2015. The word Radical kept returning and I was delighted to discover that the etymology for “radical” is from the 14th century Latin “radicalis” meaning “of or having roots”. Radical also means “going to the origin, essential”. I breathed a deep YES with Radical.
Bliss was a case of my Core Desired Feelings finding me. Think on this – where is the place of creation in your soul? How does it feel? My answer to that was BLISS.
Bliss – Blissful Revolution – my online courses were all BLISS in 2014 (and a direct result of working my Core Desired Feelings in 2014). I wanted everyone to begin the New Year with BLISS and my free online course Brave Bliss is open just for you. Bliss is here to stay.
I spend a lot of time in creation mode and Made Manifest represents my ability to bring my creations to birth, successfully, abundantly, and richly. Made Manifest is the space where my desires of sovereignty, security, wealth, and safety all reside. Made Manifest is me, powerfully and blissfully in this world.
It all begins with Goddess (as it does) and this year, I took the opportunity of having women friends at the house to do several Goddess Readings in one evening, as well as mine. I choose 13 Mamas of the Divine – one for each month and one for the year overall. My Goddess for 2015 is Ma Kali, the Hindu Goddess of Karma, Time, Transformation, Liberation through Radical Change. Ma Kali calls upon us to offer up our ego to Her Cosmic Dance of Life and Death. It may be trampled, it may be destroyed, but it will most certainly be transformed. They call Her the Terrifying but I have always called Her Mother. We have some work to do this year … making way for the new, the radical, the Truth and I commit myself to Her tempest of Black Fire, knowing She is also on the other side.
Each month, I explore further messages from the monthly Goddesses and stay open to divine synchronicity. Goddess – God – Our Guides are always speaking to us – are we listening?
Chanting 2015 – My chosen mantra for 2015 is Ong Namo, Guru Dev Namo –
Ong Namo, Guru Dev Namo
I bow to the subtle Divine Wisdom.
I bow to the Divine Teacher within.
Tuning into the guru within, the inner teacher felt tremendously important moving into 2015. Who knows me better? We all carry within us the knowledge of what is right for our next step, the mindfulness and awareness of sacred movement through life, and the tools with which we extend our vision and reach. It is all inside of us, waiting to be excavated, polished and treasured. This is the mantra that begins my day, carries me through some days and allows me to invite the wisdom within to be unhidden.
Last year, I did the vision board activity with a group of women and it was a laughing, sacred, chaotic delight. This year, I had the urge to do it with only my closest friend. We worked on our boards for more than 8 hours. Music and chants in the background, occasional conversation, swapping of magazine clippings, we invited our psyches, Goddesses, our inner gurus, our guides to all come together to share in the vision.
My process for the board is to spend the time clipping and then begin laying things out on the board. Some items will fit, new ones may be calling from the stack, but eventually it all starts to come together into an amazing VISION. And it is never what I expect which is part of the magic. Here is a picture of my Vision Board 2015:
To move forward with identified desires and feelings identified, to launch powerfully and gently, to speak to our Selves, and gather Sacred Witnesses is all part of Visioning 2015 for me.
