All the ways to celebrate and honor the Goddesses and the time of the year!
December marks the lead-up to the Winter Solstice – the longest night of the year. From a Seasonal Soul standpoint, the year is contracting, withdrawing, descending and the Winter Solstice holds the promise of the return to light. It is no accident that so many festivals of light and celebrations of the birth of the sun/son occur at this time of the year. For the Winter Solstice, the sun goes stationary in the sky and then within a few days, begins to ascend again … rebirth, the light returns.
This is the promise even as all things seem to be remain in silence, in hibernation, in darkness. We hold the light close and fall into the rhythm of our seasonal souls. Know that the seeds are waiting for the quickening of Imbolc … the fire of the Goddess. Know that even in the dark, we are in the womb of the Goddess.
Winter Solstice is also our one year anniversary of Goddess Alive Radio! We are soooo tickled to have had an amazing year with so many amazing women. For all of your support and listens, we THANK YOU.
