Celebrate Gaia on Earth Day April 22, 2014 & Every Day – Links to Love

Celebrate Gaia Earth Day 2014 Links to Love MotherHouse of the Goddess

Tuesday, April 22 is Earth Day and a delightful reminder for us to stop,  breathe deeply,  be grateful for and celebrate Gaia, and commit to living our lives in support of our beautiful Mother Earth.  There are a myriad of ways that you can become active or more active in your communities, live your life green and participate in Earth Day events.   On Earth Day (and every day), my own commitment is to maintain an inner and outer balance with Gaia, to strive for mindfulness, and to walk softly on Mother Earth, Gaia, Pachamama (thank you, Mona Rain for framing the “walk softly”!).

Celebration and commitment for Gaia comes from spending time in Nature and recognizing the blessings that we have been given.  The world that surrounds and supports us is a moment-by-moment miracle – a divine ecosystem working in harmony and we must find our proper place in it.  As we support Her, we are supported.

As I go into her, she pierces my heart. As I penetrate further, she unveils me. When I have reached her center, I am weeping openly. I have known her all my life, yet she reveals stories to me, and these stories are revelations and I am transformed …

This earth is my sister; I love her daily grace, her silent daring, and how loved I am how we admire this strength in each other, all that we have lost, all that we have suffered, all that we know: we are stunned by this beauty, and I do not forget what she is to me, what I am to her.  Susan Griffin

If I was a raven
I’d fly off to the heaven
I’d fly to all my love ones
If was a raven.

If memories are worth saving
I’d savor the feeling
Of knowing love and loving
I’d remember the feeling

Some say up on that mountain
There is many a raven
They call out to the living
From somewhere far beyond them

From the sweet love that has flown on.
