i am lunatic {poetry}

luna godess moon lunatic

i am lunatic –

cyclical surfer

half-time skimming

reflected light,

half-time cocooned

in shadow

there are nights

pregnantly poised

in my place in the heavens

alabaster belly swollen

seething with tides

then

there are nights

i arc downward

hang by a gossamer thread

from sickled crescent-tip

toes skimming treetops

the stars whisper

secrets of

their queen

and

clouds waft

forming memories

but i

i am lunatic –

rhythmic ritualist

devoted to the

perfectly appointed

ascent and descent

of my Mother
