“Gratitude turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity… it makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.”
― Melody Beattie
I would like to share some my personal beliefs on gratitude:
We cannot survive as whole people in the journey of life without cultivating and actively practicing gratitude.
Gratitude is love for ourselves and others in action.
Positive Creation and Manifestation cannot happen effectively without us being aware and immersed in the wonder of life. When we are saturated with gratitude, we are in sync with All That Is and Miracles Occur Daily.
I am grateful every single day for the beauty of my life and the blessings of the Universe.
Gratitude is the fuel for the engine of joy.
Mindfulness, self-love, respect for others powered by gratitude bring immense amounts of wonder and hope into action in our lives.
Being thankful and creating a life practice around gratitude has saved my life.
Gratitude, Joy, Wonder, Love and Hope allow us to EXPANDDDDDDDDDDD and stand in our True Power!
Positive Thinking is part of my DNA – and that would be the DNA placed by the Awesome hands of the Goddess, because the DNA that I inherited from my family is rife with negative thinking and criticism. For over 40 years, I have watched family complain, bitch, run to the dark and squeeze themselves into the meanest little balls of pure negative as possible. Then, in the next breath, they wonder why things don’t ever seem “right” in their lives. It is possible that I developed my positive thinking as a self-defense mechanism; however it became embedded – I AM GRATEFUL because it steels me for challenging times and challenging people. It makes me believe in the BEST. It allows me to say that I am grateful for my life every single day, even the days that I want to hide in bed, because I KNOW that it will get better. And it energizes me to give back – Gratitude is CONTAGIOUS … pass it on!
Thanksgiving is a natural month for us to call into light those things for which we are thankful, but truly, gratitude is a daily (multiple times daily!) practice.
Some Links to Love, Darlings as we enter the holiday chaos season and stand in our powers of Creation, Gratitude and Joy. Stand with me. Hold my hand. Shout THANK YOU from the tops of the mountains.Whisper thank you to the depths of your soul. Doesn’t that feel AMAZING?
My Gratitude Gurus:
“Gratitude helps us to return to our natural state of joyfulness where we notice what’s right instead of what’s wrong. It makes us feel complete, that we have everything we need, at least in this moment.” MJ Ryan in Attitudes of Gratitude
“Gratitude, not understanding, is the secret to joy and equanimity” ~ Anne Lamott
Here is my wish for you and every other child, woman, and man on the face of the earth: Spend one week saying only kind, caring things to yourself. Say thank you at least ten times an hour, direct five toward yourself and five to the world at large. Compliment yourself (and others) each time an effort is made. Notice all the wonderful qualities and characteristics about yourself and those around you. One week. You will never go back. And your whole life will be a glorious meditation.
How do YOU practice Gratitude?
